Spotlight: Won the Group 1 Lockinge last May (1m, good) and impressive under a penalty in this race (good); underwhelming on his two starts this year and has something to prove but he'll be very tough to beat if first-time cheekpieces are the catalyst for him returning to his best.

Spotlight: Left his previous form way behind when a commanding winner of the Group 3 Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot (7f, good to firm); he needs to prove that level of performance was no one-off but the runner-up has since gone well in the July Cup and this 3yo is entitled to respect.

Spotlight: Below-par favourite in Group 3 at York (7f, good) last month but that run may have come too soon, 11 days after his creditable fifth in 1m Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot; could be in the mix if bouncing back.

Spotlight: Gelded in the off-season and returned with career best to win the Group 3 John Of Gaunt Stakes at Haydock (7f, good) in May; now 5lb worse off with the head runner-up Kinross and further improvement is required, but that's possible from this lightly raced 4yo; can give another good account.

Spotlight: Second in Group 3 at Newmarket (7f, good to firm) last June on penultimate run for Sir Michael Stoute; it's still early days for him with this good trainer and things may click again at some point, but he's failed to beat a rival on his two outings this season and a transformation is needed.

Spotlight: Best 2yo run came when third in Group 2 Richmond here (6f, good to firm) 12 months ago; fair efforts in handicaps on both runs this season but dramatic improvement is needed now back up in grade in first-time blinkers.
